Douglas Williams Photography
I've been an architectural and commercial photographer in Vancouver since 1983. I've shot silk purses and sows' ears (really!) as well as theatre, executives and boilermakers. I've developed an excellent eye for buildings as photographic art. Lately, I'm attracted to more abstract images, street photography and travel. I've exhibited my work locally in Vancouver and have sold images through Saachi Art on line and with Farmboy Fine Arts.
Prints are available on paper, canvas, and aluminum. Contact me for sizes and prices. Prints can be 45x60 inches or more in size.
Aside from architectural, commercial, and corporate photography, I offer photography workshops, tutoring, and basic classes. I can help you to refine your photographer's eye. I will give you an introduction to the basics or I can help you to hone your already developing skills. You can learn in classes or one to one. I enjoy showing people how to see with a camera.
I teach a class in architectural photography at Langara College.
When I am not shooting specifically for clients, I flex my artistic muscles by shooting people, landscapes, cityscapes, events and travel. These stock photographs are available for use in advertising or editorial pieces. I have more than 7200 images with AGE Fotostock and many more in my own files. Contact me for a specific image.
My art images are marketed to hotels and other businesses by Farmboy Fine Arts.
My work is available as framed art on SaatchiArt.com
I have had many solo and group exhibitions of my work. Contact me for information on specific images.
